Psychologist

“I believe that the difference between judgement and curiousity is nuanced in perspective and approach. As a psychologist rooted in holistic practices, I strive to provide my patients a safe and nurturing place to explore one’s personal difficulties. My approach is directive as needed while also encouraging open exploration so that self-perception can shift from judgement to acceptance, and life’s struggles can be met with a deep breath and step forward.”

Anna Hickner, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor under the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She specializes in depression, anxiety, grief/loss, chronic medical conditions, trauma, and stress related to interpersonal relationships and life transitions.
