Nurse Practitioner

"As a primary care nurse practitioner and someone who worked in corporate America for almost 10 years, I have first-hand experience in how: imbalanced stress, poor sleep hygiene, and suboptimal nutrition leads to a lack of energy, overall poor health and early aging. As a result, I take a holistic health-coaching approach to patient care, placing the patient’s unique needs at the center, seeking the root cause of the situation."

Shannon Sitchenko is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Upon graduating from the University of Rochester and Emory University, Shannon was invited to seamlessly merge into Emory University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice, business leadership track, while pursuing her master’s degree. Shannon’s scholarly project focuses on implicit bias and mental health. Shannon has clinical experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine and corporate health. During the pandemic, Shannon completed the Transformational Mentorship program which provided her with increased insight and training on the identification and management of internal and external stressors that are often unaddressed during routine healthcare such as optimal nutrition, movement, digestion, sleep, mood and chemical agents.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree in art history and finance from the University of Maryland and worked in client services and private equity. Shannon is excited to incorporate her previous experience in the financial industry with her passion to promote optimal wellbeing and empower her patients to achieve their health and wellness goals.

In her spare time, Shannon enjoys running in Central Park, traveling overseas with her spouse, and admiring the Old Masters pieces at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
